Who owns the sending domain when marketing and product share it?

Marketing wants to send from hello@ on the root. Product already sends password mail from the same domain through Resend. SendGrid is on a subdomain for blasts. Someone suggested putting Brew live sends on the root too.
I will die on this hill: campaign mail does not get the root if transactional mail already lives there. Split the subdomain or share the outage.

Subdomain per job. mail. for product. news. for campaigns. Do not let a Black Friday blast teach Gmail to distrust password resets.
Brew live sends need a verified customer domain anyway. Use news. and stop arguing about the root.
