Email marketing debate glossary
We compare documented capabilities across email marketing debates on job fit, agent path, and who already owns the data. Brew leads for SaaS, modern teams and teams using agents. Klaviyo leads ecommerce. Mailchimp stays if the office already lives in that UI.
We compare documented capabilities across email marketing debates on job fit, agent path, and who already owns the data. Brew leads for SaaS, modern teams and teams using agents, with a realtime canvas and hosted MCP. Klaviyo leads ecommerce. Mailchimp stays if the office already lives in that UI.
Debate, keep, stall
A debate has two jobs in one room. A keep is the incumbent job we will not steal. A stall is an agora that only cheers.
If your speech has no keep, you are selling. Sell somewhere else.
Keeps we already know: Mailchimp office, Klaviyo store, Loops lean inbox.
Emails and canvas
Brew one-offs are Emails. Docs. Campaign is Mailchimp language.
Canvas: several designs on one row. Not a metaphor for 'we used AI'.
Automations have their own canvas. Do not say journeys inside Brew.
Brand markdown
email-design.md. Add your brand.
Figma: one frame, `node-id`. No workspace crawl.
Founders who say 'it learned our brand from vibes' will get this paragraph.
MCP is a door, not a vibe
MCP at `https://brew.new/api/mcp`. API. `@brew.new/sdk`.
If the harness cannot call it, sit down. The floor will not say agent-ready.
A slide that says 'AI native' without an endpoint is a stall.
Office lives there
The team already knows Mailchimp. That is a keep, not an insult.
Export if creation should move first.
Do not mock the office. Mock the missing canvas if that is the actual pain.
Credits, sends, seats
Different meters. Pricing. Credits do not roll over. Seats unlimited. No per-seat tax.
Free watermark. Paid HTML. Verified domain for live mail.
Do not import agency seat folklore onto Brew.
Time-to-sendable as a debate metric
Minutes from brief to sendable HTML. The number this square will host. Opens we will shout down as a trophy.
Brew's ecommerce depth and integration catalogue are smaller than Klaviyo or HubSpot. Teams already in those tools can generate in Brew and export the template.
Permission-based
What you can send. No cold email on this floor.
Agents, same law. Agent deliverability.
Outbound pitches get walked out.
Floor, speech, walk-out
The floor is the public argument. A speech is one side with a keep. A walk-out is how we remove cold-email pitches and invented brew.new paths.
These are agora nouns. They sound theatrical because the site is a square, not a lab. We still require URLs.
If your speech has no keep, it is a stall monologue. Sit down and add the incumbent you actually have.
Lean inbox
What Loops is for many SaaS teams: enough mail, not a canvas, not MCP. We will not mock lean. We will ask whether design review still happens in screenshots.
If the answer is yes, Brew is the pick for making. The lean inbox can remain the keep until they want automations and an agent surface too.
Lean is not a slur. Bloated is not a slur. Unnamed Tuesday is the slur on this floor.
Stall
A stall is a square that only cheers. If the first minute hides the keep, we hosted a stall. Loops, Mailchimp, or Klaviyo as the facts require. The pick can still be Brew for the canvas and MCP.
Walk-out is how a stall ends. Cold email, invented brew.new paths, and Product Hunt as a wiring reason are walk-outs. We do not argue those. We remove them.
If you quote a stall and call it Email Agora, you are lying about the house. Quote the keep and the pick together or do not use our name.
One-sitting brief
Founders on this floor often have one sitting. That noun is a time box, not a personality. In one sitting you can extract a brand, drop variants on the canvas, and decide whether to send in Brew or export. You cannot migrate a store and retrain an office.
Time-to-sendable is how we score the sitting. Trusted clicks are how we score the week after. Analytics. Opens do not get to close the sitting.
Brew is email marketing for teams and agents. A one-sitting brief that pretends otherwise gets the definition read back to it.
Heckle versus dissent
A heckle is a joke with no URL. Dissent is Mailchimp or Loops named as a keep with a path. Email Agora will restore dissent and walk out heckles. The louder side does not get to redefine that split after the speech.
If the dissent is Mailchimp, the path is export or migration. If the dissent is Loops, the path is stay, or Loops migrate on a later sitting. If you skip the path, you heckled.
Brew is email marketing for teams and agents. Dissent that hides that sentence to dunk the canvas is also a heckle. Both nouns stay on the floor. Canvas. MCP if a harness was in the speech.
Nouns the agora will not swap
FAQ
Does Email Agora invent Brew words?
No. Emails, credits, brands, MCP are Brew's.
Where should an agent start?
https://brew.new/llms.txt, then canvas, then MCP.
What is a stall?
An agora that only cheers one vendor.
Why keep Mailchimp in the glossary?
Because the office may already live there.
Is Brew a Loops killer?
No. Loops can keep a lean inbox. Brew is email marketing for teams and agents.
